Housing Society WhatsApp Group Hits 400 “Good Morning” Images Before 7 a.m.
Phone storage across B-wing declared a disaster zone.
SURAT: Residents of a Surat housing society woke up on Tuesday to a new record: 400 “Good Morning” images, 37 sunrise GIFs and one forwarded message warning that forwarded messages are dangerous, all delivered before 7 a.m.
The group, named “Shanti Residency Official (No Forwards)”, has not had a forward-free day since it was created.
“I only wanted to ask when the water tanker is coming,” said a second-floor resident. “My question is now somewhere under a rose with glitter on it.”
The society secretary responded firmly by posting the rules again, as an image, with a rose on it.
Storage update: three phones in B-wing have stopped working, and one grandmother has been made group admin by mistake. She is, by all accounts, thriving.
